Toh 914 & Toh 525
Dear 84000 In the dharani mantra of Toh 525 and Toh 914 published in your translation of the text in both cases, there is the word “dharmdhare” found in both versions. In the notes to the mantra in both cases, it states “he dhāraṇī has been transliterated exactly as it appears in Toh 140. The dhāraṇī in Toh 525 is identical except for the following: gimeleśrīmaviśodhani reads gimileśrīmaviśodhani; ṇiḍena reads ṇiṭane” meaning that everything else is the same as Toh 140. But then in the next note, in both 525 & 914, it says that in the Toh 914 version of the mantra has the word “dharmadhare”. Also in Hiseo Inagaki’s published translation, the word given is “dharmadhare.” All of which suggests that “dharmdhare” in the body of the texts of Toh 525 & 914 is possibly a misprint for “dharmadhare” (besides the fact that it intuitively looks like a misprint). Unfortunately there aren’t any Sanskrit versions available to consult. Thank you for all your wonderful translations Best Wishes Liam McMahon

Toh 98/721, introductory statement
Dear 84000 With Toh 98/721, there is the statement in the introduction, to wit: “To our knowledge, this sūtra has never been translated into any European language.” However, there is the translation of the same text into English done by associate professor Richard S. Cohen, titled “Reading a Buddhist Sutra: The Splendid Vision”, Columbia University Press, 2012. Thank you for all your incredible translations Regards Liam McMahon
